Student Accommodation Beds

Plan comfortable, practical student rooms with accommodation beds from Heavenly Beds in Cheltenham, serving Gloucestershire with UK-wide delivery.

Explore bed and mattress options for shared student houses and purpose-built accommodation, balancing sleeping space with desks, wardrobes and everyday storage. Whether you manage one property or a larger portfolio, a clear room-by-room specification makes it easier to compare suitable products and organise a consistent furnishing plan.

Compare single and small double layouts, storage arrangements and the maintenance requirements of each design. Share quantities, addresses, access details and target changeover dates with our team so availability and delivery options can be checked together. We can also review mattress-only replacements and any required product documentation, helping you prepare an order around the actual needs of the rooms rather than choosing on size or price alone.

BUYING GUIDE

Plan deliveries around your student changeover dates

Student accommodation has the tightest turnaround in the letting market. Tenants leave in June, the new intake arrives in September, and everything has to happen in between while cleaning and maintenance are also going on.

Tell us the date the rooms have to be ready rather than the date you would like the furniture. We plan backwards from it and would rather deliver early into a quiet corridor than promise tight.

Order in spring if you can. By July the whole sector is buying at once.

Compare construction and ongoing maintenance

In student rooms the frame rarely fails first. It is the mattress, the drawer runners and anything with a mechanism.

Which is why metal frames and platform-top divans do so well here. Fewer moving parts, and a bed that can be tightened rather than replaced when it starts to move.

Storage matters more than it looks

Student rooms are small and students arrive with more than the room holds. A divan with drawers or an ottoman base removes the need for a separate chest of drawers, which in a 10 square metre room is the difference between usable and not.

It also reduces what you have to buy and what has to be moved at turnaround.

Sizes

Compare the full bed footprint with each room plan, allowing access to storage and space for a desk and chair. A single or small double should be chosen around the room and intended occupancy, without assuming that a larger bed guarantees a higher rent.

Ask our team to confirm available sizes and specifications. Non-standard dimensions may be possible on selected ranges, subject to a check of the product and compatible mattress options.

Fire safety

Confirm the furniture requirements for your premises with the responsible adviser and share the resulting specification with your enquiry. Suitability needs checking for the actual setting and products rather than being inferred from the type of accommodation alone.

Tell us the specification at quote stage rather than at delivery, because it changes what we source and how long it takes.

FAQ

Questions we get asked most

Open seven days.01452 260206
When should I order for a September intake?

Start enquiries once your room list and changeover dates are known, leaving time for specification checks, delivery and setup. The usual delivery estimate is 7–15 working days, including handling and transit, but bulk or phased orders need an agreed schedule. Confirm dates before booking installation or promising rooms will be ready for new residents.

Can you deliver to multiple addresses?

Provide a list of addresses with quantities, access details and the contact responsible at each property. Heavenly Beds in Cheltenham can check split-delivery options and include the proposed dates and any charges in your quotation. Agree the arrangement before ordering rather than assuming that a bulk order automatically includes separate drops.

Should I choose single or small double beds for student rooms?

Compare the full bed footprint with the desk, chair, wardrobe and storage access in each room. A small double offers a wider sleeping surface, but only works when it leaves an appropriate usable layout. Confirm the property's room requirements and mattress compatibility before choosing, rather than assuming a larger bed always improves the specification.

What fire specification is needed?

Ask the responsible adviser for the furniture specification required for your particular premises, then include it in the enquiry. We can check the proposed beds and mattresses against available supplier documentation before confirming supply. The description student accommodation does not, by itself, establish which testing or labelling applies to every product.

Do you supply mattresses in bulk separately?

Use our Contract Mattresses collection to discuss mattress-only replacements. Send the quantities and exact sizes, together with details of the existing bases and required specification. Check base condition before ordering replacements, and confirm the mattress care instructions and any protector options as part of your room maintenance plan.
